Hallie Kou, PT, DPT, SCS

Hallie is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy at Memorial Hermann Rockets Sports Medicine Institute at Memorial City. Hallie is a graduate of Memorial Hermann’s Sports Residency Program and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Houston. She also maintains certifications in Dry Needling and Emergency Response for the Athlete.

Hallie is a former professional dancer. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Texas at Austin and continued a professional dance career prior to her transition to physical therapy. One of Hallie’s passions is to continue serving dancers in the Houston area and improving their access to attentive healthcare providers. She partners with Dance Source Houston to host free monthly physical therapy screenings for Houston dancers, in addition to coordinating an annual comprehensive screening event, Houston’s Day of Dancer Health.

Hallie serves as a site coordinator and mentor in the Sports Residency and also participates in outreach at Stratford High School. Her clinical interests focus on athletic non-operative and post-operative hip and knee rehabilitation, and treating martial arts athletes and dancers.

Outside of work, Hallie enjoys spending time with her husband and son and training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.
