Michael is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy at Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation in Katy, TX. Michael competed his undergraduate degree at Case Western Reserve University and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed his orthopedic residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he was also involved with clinical care and research for the UPMC Hip Preservation Program. Within Memorial Hermann, Michael serves as an Orthopedic Residency Site Coordinator, a Faculty Member for the Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Programs, and a Primary Advisory Mentor for the hip curriculum of the Internal Clinical Mentorship Program.
Michael’s areas of interest and specialization include the hip, knee, shoulder, and spine conditions in orthopedic and sports populations. Michael has advanced certification/training in functional dry needling, movement analysis, blood flow restriction training, and selective functional movement assessment. Michael also specializes in treating playing-related injuries in musicians, and he is the Research Chair for the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Performing Arts Special Interest Group.
Michael is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Texas Physical Therapy Association. With his background, Michael is passionate about treating patients within the Hip Preservation Program, musicians and performing artists, mixed martial artists, and youth athletes.
