Phil is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy at Memorial Hermann Rockets Sports Medicine Institute in Pearland, TX. He leads the Memorial Hermann Rockets Sports Medicine Institute hip research program in collaboration with UT Orthopedics, as well as heading the soccer medicine program. Phil received a degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from Northeastern University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northeastern University. He completed his sports physical therapy residency training at Texas Health Sports Medicine. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in physical therapy through Texas Woman’s University with a focus on athletic related hip and groin pain. His clinical specialties include post-operative care of the hip and knee, conservative management of the athletic hip, sports performance and return-to-sport, and management of the soccer athlete.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Phil is a faculty member of the Memorial Hermann Sports and Orthopedic residency programs mentoring and lecturing on hip pathology and sports performance. He also serves as the Education Chair of the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy – Hip Special Interest Group. He is actively involved in contributions to articles in peer-reviewed journals, and presented numerous times on hip and groin pathologies across the country. When not at the clinic, Phil enjoys working out, playing soccer, and traveling with his wife.
